The Factory is a world structure found in certain towns that produces crates
of weapons, ammunition, tools, Medical, and base Supplies using materials as input.
Construction
It cannot be built, it is found in certain towns in the world. Its location is indicated by an icon
on the map.
Reconstruction
A destroyed factory can only be rebuilt with a Construction Vehicle and 400 Basic Materials if the nearby Town Base unlocks the Industry
upgrade.
Destruction
Destructions of this type of structure are logged in the Region Event Logs.
Use
Its interface can be accessed on foot or from the driver seat of a logistics vehicle by pressing
.
Crate Production
The items available for production are listed in the center window. They are split into 7 categories: Small Arms
, Heavy Arms
, Heavy Ammunition
, Utility
, Medical
, Resource
, Uniforms
. Items that are greyed out have not been researched yet.
Placing Orders
Orders are placed by clicking on the desired item icons, each click adds a crate of the particular item to the order (4 crates max) displayed in the output window on the right. The total material cost and production time for the order are shown under it. An order is started by clicking the "play" button
next to it while the required materials are in the factory or player inventory. The production is automated.
A player can only place one order in each category.
Orders can be set to "personal" (only you can retrieve them once completed), "[squad name]" (only members of that Squad can), and "public". Crates produced in Personal and Squad orders are reservable (mentioned in their description when you put your cursor on their icon).
Orders listed in the output window can be filtered with the icons at the top: "personal"
only shows your own orders, "squad"
shows all squad orders, while "public"
shows all public orders.
You can check who placed an order by putting your cursor on the category icon on the left of the order (only works if the player is online).
Orders Processing
For each category, the Factory can only process one order at a time. Subsequent orders are queued and each category can only queue up to 6 orders.
You can view the amount of orders queued in each category of a Factory by hovering your mouse on its icon on the map.
Retrieving Orders
Once an order is completed clicking the green checkmark button next to it transfers all crates in the player's inventory if on foot or their vehicle inventory if driving. If an order is not retrieved after 60 minutes the crates become public (not reservable) and are placed in the factory inventory. Unlike the Refinery and Mass Production Factory, there is no loading area to deposit Shipping Containers.

Tactics
- Using Factories close to the frontline can save a lot of time of transportation. As one slot can be filled by 100 bmat or 1 crate it is more efficient to transport expensives crates from back to front and bring bmat or rmat to a frontline factory in order to create cheap crates.
- To calculate whether it is more efficient to transport the raw input materials as opposed to the completed product, one can first convert the input resources into crate units to evaluated the value of the output items in terms of input crates.
- 1 Crate of Soldier Supplies costs 80 bmats to produce, or 0.8 bmat crates. Since the resource crate value of Soldier Supplies is less than 1 (0.8 < 1), it is more efficient to transport bmat crates to a frontline factory to make Soldier Supplies as opposed to transporting Soldier Supplies created at a backline factory to the front lines.
- 4 crates of bmats can produce 5 crates of Soldier Supplies
- 60 crates of bmats can produce 75 crates of Soldier Supplies
- Transporting a shipping container of bmats to be made into Soldier Supplies at a frontline Factory will be more efficient compared to transporting a shipping container of Soldier Supplies.
- 1 Crate of Havoc Charges costs 75 bmats and 40 he powder to produce, or 0.75 bmat crates and ~1.33333 he powder crates. Since the resource crate value of Havoc Charges is greater than 1 (~2.083333 > 1), it is more efficient to directly transport Havoc Charge crates created at a backline factory to the front lines, as opposed to transporting the input materials to a frontline factory to produce Havoc Charges.
