| — In-game description |
The Daucus isg.III (a.k.a ISG) is a Colonial Mounted Infantry Support Gun. It fires 30mm shells and must be deployed in order to be fired.
Description
The Daucus isg.III is a Colonial single-shot 30mm Mounted Weapon with slow fire rate (15 shells/min), 40m range, and high accuracy. The gun is always perfectly stable (unless suppressed). The 30mm shells it fires explodes on contact or at max range causing 400 Explosive
damage at the center and decreasing amounts in a 2m radius.
As a mounted weapon it is a Large Item that must be carried on the shoulder. It can only be fired after being mounted on a deployed Tripod, certain vehicles, or Bunker Firing Ports. When mounted, its mount's inventory gains a dedicated ammo slot that can hold 14 30mm shells. Its firing arc is limited to 90 degrees and depends on the mount's direction.
Its 30mm shell is effective against most structures but much less against very resistant ones. It is effective against armored vehicles, however it needs to penetrate the armor in order to deal its damage. It can disable Vehicle Subsystems. It is also cheap enough to be cost-effective to use against infantry and unarmored vehicles.

Storage
It does not stack in inventories (1 per slot).
It can be stored in the stockpile of Bases (32k max) but also in Material Pallets (120), Material Transfer Stations (1000), Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer (32), Small Flatbed Car (100) or Storage Rooms (100).
Crates of Daucus isg.III can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depot/Seaport/Aircraft Depot (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots, but is most commonly transported by Trucks, Small Flatbed Car, or shipping vehicles carrying Material Pallets. It can also be transported as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.
Tactics
It is useful against Vehicles but struggles to pierce the armor of heavier Tanks - where it truly shines is destroying Structures, particularly pillboxes, as it can engage these targets from outside their effective range and demolish them with just a few shots. However AT Gun Garrisons will retaliate on the Daucus if you fire at them or a Bunker connected to them.
Deployed tripod weapons are invisible at night, just like infantry, making them an excellent tool for ambushes. They can also be hidden by being placed inside tall grass and bushes, but are revealed to people within 10m. Only their firing effects (smoke and flashes from the barrel) will betray their presence.
The Grenadier's Baldric allows the wearer to stack 30mm shells in their inventory, making it a good choice for Daucus gunners.
Trivia
- This weapon appears to be inspired by the French Canon d'Infanterie de 37 modele 1916 TRP.
