Barbed Wire is a Large Material used to build barbed wire defenses like Barbed Wire (Structure) and Barbed Wire Fence. Due to being a large item, players can only carry one at a time.

Individual Barbed Wires in personal orders can be retrieved as crates from a logistics vehicle with RMB > "Retrieve as crate" (needs 5 per crate).

Uses

They can be used to build barbed wire defenses like Barbed Wire (Structure) and Barbed Wire Fence, or to put Barbed Wire add-ons on Trenches. To build with them, equip them and press B to open the building menu, then select an option and rotate the blueprint with Right Click and place it with Left Click. When the blueprint is placed, submit your large materials with Left Click, and bring more large materials until completion.

Handling

As Large Items, a soldier can only carry one at a time, on their shoulder. You can press V to either pick one from the ground, drop one, or submit one to a nearby structure or vehicle. You can force drop one by pressing Shift + V.

Storage

It does not stack in inventories (1 per slot). It can be stored in the stockpiles of Bases (32k max), Facilities that produces it (32k), Material Pallets (120), Material Transfer Stations (1000), Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer (32), Small Flatbed Car (100), and Storage Room (100).
It can be crated (need stack of 5 per crate) and uncrated with the right click context menu while interfacing a Seaport, Storage Depot, or Shipping Container.
Crates of Barbed Wire can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content.The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots, but is most commonly transported by Trucks, Small Flatbed Car, or shipping vehicles carrying Material Pallets. It can also be transported as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.
