Storage
Like other liquid resources, Oil canisters do not stack in inventories but can be stored in the stockpile of Liquid Containers and Liquid Transfer Stations. Full canisters can be crated/uncrated in the menu of a Seaport, Storage Depot, or Shipping Container using the RMB
context menu (need 1 oil canister to make a crate). A canister's encumbrance depends on how much fuel is left in it.
They can be transported by Fuel Tankers, Liquid Containers, Small Liquid Container Cars, Shipping Containers (in crate form), or Pipelines.
Trivia
- Oil, as a general resource, was reworked in Update 1.50 ('Inferno') from its previous iteration, Crude Oil.
- Crude Oil was a single-stack item that could only be used to refine into Petrol at a 3:1 ratio in a Refinery. Despite having a name of a liquid resource, it did not operate as such.
