Use

Aluminum Alloy is only used in the Engineering Center to progress the current research level in the Weapons and Structures IconFilterWeaponsStructures.png Tech Tree. The amount of Aluminum Alloy required to advance the tech depends on the research level (also known as a tech tier), with higher levels requiring more Alloys.

Doing so will create either a Weapon or Structure Prototype Kits (these can be used in either a Factory, Mass Production Factory, or a Construction Yard to create a "prototype" version of that product. For infantry equipment, it will appear and operate like a fully teched item).

Storage

Aluminum Alloy stacks up to 100 in inventory slots and can be stored in certain stockpiles. They cannot be stored within a Resource Transfer Station. It can be transported by almost any vehicle with an inventory slot, though the most common type of vehicle to transport them are Trucks.

Similar to other types of materials like Basic Materials, it can be crated and stored in a Seaport or Storage Depot (each crate containing 20 Aluminum Alloy). Additionally, it can become a reservable crate if it was directly crated from inside the Refinery.

Tips

  • Since technology materials are important to advance your faction's research, it is highly recommended not to store them in Reserve Stockpiles or Refinery personal queues
    • As such, they should be spent or stored in visible stockpiles on the map, preferably in Refineries
