Destroyed equipment reclaimed from the battlefield. Can be sorted into useful resources at a Refinery (Using the right click context menu).
In-game description

Wreckage is a special type of raw resource which is acquired from Rare Resource Nodes. These appear scattered around the map. During Relic Wars, Wreckage will not drop Basic Materials or Refined Materials, and will instead drop Relic Materials.

Acquisition

Wreckage can only be be acquired from Rare Resource Nodes. Unlike other resource nodes, which are only found around certain resource fields, these appear randomly around the map, usually near roads. Though, they won't appear in unsuitable locations (cliffs, under water, intersecting with structures).

They can be gathered by any resource gathering tool, such as a Hammer, Sledgehammer. The Harvester is unable to break or store Wreckage or Relic Materials.

Use

Wreckage can be sorted into Basic Materials or Refined Materials at a Refinery when you hit right click and select the Sort All Wreckage option. Each Wreckage has a 75% chance of giving Refined Materials (amount between 15 and 30 units) otherwise it gives Basic Materials (amount between 50 and 100).

Relic Wars

During certain wars, it can only be sorted into Relic Materials. These materials can be packaged into crates, as well as be used to create certain vehicles.

Storage

It does not stack in structure or vehicle inventories (1 per slot). It can only be stored in the stockpile of Bases (32k max).
It can't be packed into crates.

It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots, but is most commonly transported by Trucks.

Tips

  • Use of an Observation Bunker is highly efficient at locating Wreckage, as they're rendered even while not near the player.
  • None of the materials yielded from 'sorting' can be stored in a private stockpile, they are public materials. If not used, they're best deposited in a Mass Production Factory or Factory
    • Alternatively, you can leave the materials in a Refinery for other players to use
  • Wreckage are highly sought in the early-war, as they're one of the few sources of Refined Materials
