Diesel
This article is timeless and should be accurate for any version of the game.
“ | Common fuel used to powerall vehicles and resource mines. | „ |
— In-game description |
Diesel is a liquid resource in a 100L canister. It is one of the two main fuel types in Foxhole, alongside Petrol.
Acquisition
Structure | Input(s) | Output | Time |
---|---|---|---|
Refinery | 10 x Salvage | 1 x Diesel | 00:00:12 |
Once refined, the Diesel can be retrieved in as is with left click
or as crates using the right click
context menu. A crate of Diesel holds only 1 canister which makes its utility very limited.
Uses
Fuel
It is used to refuel:
- Most vehicles in the game (all vehicles that use Diesel can also use Petrol instead)
- Fire Pits
- Engine Rooms
Production
Structure | Input(s) | Output | Time |
---|---|---|---|
Component Mine | 1L x Diesel | 9 x Components | 00:00:30 |
Diesel Power Plant | 25L x Diesel | 5 MW of power | 00:00:45 |
Salvage Mine | 1L x Diesel | 9 x Salvage | 00:00:08 |
Sulfur Mine | 1L x Diesel | 9 x Sulfur | 00:00:30 |
Storage
Like other liquid resources, the Diesel canisters do not stack in inventories but can be stored in the stockpile of Liquid Containers and Liquid Transfer Stations. Full canisters can be changed into crates with the right click
menu while in the interface of a Storage Depot, Seaport, or Shipping Container (1 canister per crate). A canister's encumbrance depends on how much fuel is left in it.
They can be transported by Fuel Tankers, Liquid Containers, Small Liquid Container Cars, Shipping Containers (in crate form), or Pipelines.
Trivia
- Diesel was introduced in Update 0.26 with the rework of fueling mechanics. Before this, fuel was added and consumed from the inventory of the vehicles, and fuel could be acquired directly from mining at specific resource nodes.
- The UI icon and 3D model for diesel are based on the iconic "Jerry can".
