The Sandbag is a Large Material used to build sandbags structures. Due to being a large item, players can only carry one at a time.

Individual Sandbags in personal orders can be retrieved as crates from a logistics vehicle with RMB > "Retrieve as crate" (needs 5 per crate).
Uses
Sandbags can be used to build Sandbag Covers. Place the structure blueprint then submit the necessary amount of sandbags with LMB.
Sandbag Covers can be upgraded into Sandbag Walls. Equip a sandbag and press F to switch to upgrade mode then press E on the structure and submit the necessary amount of sandbags with LMB.
They are also used to place/remove sandbags add-on on Trenches and Bunkers. Equip a sandbag and press F to switch to upgrade mode then press E on the structure to open the upgrade menu, put your cursor on the sandbags add-on and use Mouse Scroll Wheel to select the desired position then either press LMB to put the add-on or RMB to remove it.
Handling
As Large Items, a soldier can only carry one at a time, on their shoulder. You can press V to either pick one from the ground, drop one, or submit one to a nearby structure. You can force drop one by pressing Shift + V.
Storage
It does not stack in inventories (1 per slot). It can be stored in the stockpiles of Bases (32k max), Facilities that produces it (32k), Material Pallets (120), Material Transfer Stations (1000), Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer (32), Small Flatbed Car (100), and Storage Room (100).
It can be crated (need stack of 5 per crate) and uncrated with the right click context menu while interfacing a Seaport, Storage Depot, or Shipping Container.
Crates of Sandbag can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 300 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 300 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots, but is most commonly transported by Trucks, Small Flatbed Car, or shipping vehicles carrying Material Pallets. It can also be transported in bulk amounts as crates with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers and submit them to a crate stockpile.
