In-game description

The First Aid Kit is a medical item designed to heal other injured players by consuming Bandages.

Uses

Specifications

It is equipped in the player's tertiary equipment slot.

It holds 10 charges. During use, one charge is consumed every second. Each charge can heal 12 hp and instantly stops any bleeding.

When out of charge it automatically replenishes all its charges by consuming one Bandages from the player's inventory. This process occurs during a healing attempt or when the kit is equipped.

It has a reduced encumbrance when wearing a Medic Uniform.

Usage

In order to use the First Aid Kit:

  1. Put the First Aid Kit in your tertiary equipment slot
  2. Equip the First Aid Kit with 3
  3. Check that it has some charges left or that you have at least one Bandages in your inventory
  4. Press and hold LMB near an injured soldier to heal them

Storage

First Aid Kit does not stack in inventories (1 per slot) except in the inventory of Ambulances (stacks of 100 per slot).

It can be stored in Base stockpiles.

First Aid Kit crates can be stored in the stockpile of a Storage Depot, Seaport, or Storage Ship. They can be submitted to any stockpile that accept First Aid Kit to transfer their content into it.

Tactics

  • It is an essential part of a Medic's equipment for the frontline.
  • Players cannot heal themselves with a First Aid Kit. It is thus recommended to have two Medics on a battlefield to ideally keep everyone alive

Trivia

  • Foxhole medical equipment have Green Cross, unlike their real life counterparts, which use Red Cross (and other IFRC symbols)
  • Despite following infantry vision mechanics, the First Aid Kit can seen being used while out of line of sight
