Copper Alloy can be used to produce Vehicle Prototypes at the Engineering Center.

Use

Copper Alloy is only used in the Engineering Center to progress the current research level in the Vehicle IconFilterVehicle.png Tech Tree. The amount of Copper Alloy required to advance the tech depends on the research level (also known as a tech tier), with higher levels requiring more Alloys.

Doing so will create a Vehicle Prototype Kit (these can only be used in a Garage to create a "prototype" version of that vehicle).

Storage

Copper Alloy stacks up to 100 in inventory slots and can be stored in certain stockpiles. They cannot be stored within a Resource Transfer Station. It can be transported by almost any vehicle with an inventory slot, though the most common type of vehicle to transport them are Trucks.

Similar to other types of materials like Basic Materials, it can be crated and stored in a Seaport or Storage Depot (each crate containing 20 Copper Alloy). Additionally, it can become a reservable crate if it was directly crated from inside the Refinery.

Tips

  • Since technology materials are important to advance your faction's research, it is highly recommended not to store them in Reserve Stockpiles or Refinery personal queues
    • As such, they should be spent or stored in visible stockpiles on the map, preferably in Refineries

Trivia

  • Prior to Update 0.47, Iron was used for the entirety of the Vehicle Tech Tree
    • With the introduction to Copper, it was changed so the later half of the Tech Tree only used Copper Alloy, rendering Iron Alloy obsolete
