Fists are a melee weapon that the Player uses when they have no weapon or tool equipped.

Uses

Specifications

A punch deals 50 "melee" damage by default. However the damage scales with the health of the attacking soldier. A full health player can kill another in two punches but more will be needed if the attacker has less health.

You can only use your fists while standing.

Fists can't damage friendly players. However they can hurt Sleeping Soldiers.

Usage

To use your fists, simply re-holster your current tool/weapon by pressing 1, 2, or 3. Then press LMB to punch.

Tactics

While other combat weapons like Rifles are recommended in engaging enemy soldiers, using fists should be seen as a last resort, when all options have been used up (i.e. all ammo has been used).

While retreating is often the best tactic when running out of ammo, certain situations are ideal for close-quarters combat, where fists excel. The situations are often in close proximity to the enemy, such as being inside a trench. Despite this, be aware of enemy soldiers equipped with a Bayonet, as they will instantly kill you if you come in contact with them.

In any situation, speed remains the key to using fists effectively, as a single shot will stun the player long enough for other enemy soldiers to take a shot on you.

  • A Leg kick animation is used when finishing off a wounded enemy soldier
  • In the game's coding, Fists have the damage type “Karate”, though this cannot be viewed in-game.
