The Havoc Charge (simply known as Havoc) is a large deployable Explosive Charge that deals massive demolition Damage. Uniquely, two separate large items - the Havoc Charge itself and its Detonator - need to be combined in-field to detonate the explosion.
Description
The Havoc Charge is a large explosive that is deployed on the ground in a 4s animation. The deployment of a Havoc Charge Detonator on top of it, taking another 4s, is required before it can be detonated. It is detonated by being shot by friendly small arms. The explosion deals 1950 Demolition damage in a 6m radius and quickly decreasing amounts in a 7m radius. Uniquely, the explosion does not damage friendly Havoc Charges. Both the charge and the detonator are Large Items, the player can only carry one in their large item slot, occupying their hands.
It is designed to destroy extremely resistant structures. It has a chance to turn into ruins Garrisoned Houses that suffer from devastation. It can disable the subsystems of armored vehicles. When hitting Bunkers, it has an increased chance of causing a Breach (x3) and can do so even when their health is above their Breachable Health.
It can be deployed nearly anywhere, even on beaches, roads, rocks, bridges, on top of structures, in trenches, or inside roofed structures. It cannot be deployed on ships.
The charge is instantly deleted if shot by enemies.
Enemy AI soldiers do not shoot at Havoc Charges since they are considered neutral structures.
Usage
Large Item Handling
It can be picked up from the ground with
and dropped on the ground with
(or

without having to open their interface. It is automatically dropped if the player draws a weapon or equipment.

The Havoc Charge Detonator must be fully researched in the Weapons and Structure
Tech Tree in order to be produced.
Storage
It does not stack in inventories (1 per slot).
Unlike most Large Items, it can only be stored in the stockpiles of Bases (32k max), it does not fit in Material Pallets, Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer, Material Transfer Stations, Small Flatbed Car, or Storage Rooms.
Crates of Havoc Charge can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.

Tactics
Given its complex deployment process, a team of two soldiers is necessary. It should either be used in areas without enemy player presence and without active defenses, or used on frontlines with support from friendly suppressing fire and Smoke Grenade to protect the carriers. A group of two players can rush inside enemy Garrisoned Houses or Safe Houses to plant a Havoc Charge and destroy the building with a single explosion.
Trivia
- The Havoc Charge and the Detonator are implemented as variants of a Tripod and Mounted Weapon respectively, which explains the somewhat quirky deployment process. The internal name for the charge ExplosiveTripod reflects that.
- Internal name for the Detonator is SatchelChargeT, reflecting the fact that Havoc is meant to replace the combat role of the old (pre-1.52) Alligator Charges. The damage was carried over exactly, except now it requires two people and a deployment sequence instead of just a single inventory slot.
