Storage
It stacks up to 100 per slot in structure and vehicle inventories. It can be stored in stockpiles of Bases (32k max).
Crates of 7.62mm can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.
Trivia
- Prior to the standardization of equipment, 7.62mm used to separated into clips and magazines.
- "Magazine" refers to an ammunition container (often detachable in more advanced firearms) that uses a mechanism to feed rounds into the gun's firing chamber when the bolt is operated, while "Clip" refers to a simple device that holds the ammunition in place, either before loading into a magazine or while inside one. While the weapons that accept this ammunition have a variety of visual loading styles, the 7.62mm icon appears to be an en bloc clip.
- Sniper Rifles used to use 8.5mm ammunition, but was switched to 7.62mm in Update 0.48 for standardization.
