— In-game description |
The Havoc Charge Detonator (simply known as a Detonator) is a Large Item that serves as the required detonator for the Havoc Charge.
Description
The Havoc Charge Detonator is a large item that is deployed on top of a Havoc Charge in a 4s animation so that it can then be detonated by being shot by friendly small arms. As a Large Item, the player can only carry one in their large item slot, occupying their hands.

Storage
It does not stack in inventories (1 per slot).
Unlike most Large Items, it can only be stored in the stockpiles of Bases (32k max), it does not fit in Material Pallets, Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer, Material Transfer Stations, Small Flatbed Car, or Storage Rooms.
Crates of Havoc Charge Detonator can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.
Tactics
Due to Havoc Charge explosives requiring two parts in order to be able to explode, it is essential that any time they are used, players have the necessary parts in order to detonate them. If players do not have the necessary parts to arm them, then they are essentially useless.
Due to Havoc Charges easily countered by enemy soldiers, it is essential that players that deploy them cannot be countered, which usually means that there is no enemies nearby, which makes this difficult when trying to use them on an active frontline.
