In-game description

The Mammon 91-b is a throwable HE Grenade that detonates on impact.

Description

The Mammon 91-b is a tertiary weapon that is thrown by hand up to 11 meters and at a rate of 24 per minute. It is almost perfectly accurate regardless of stability. It travels relatively slowly in the air and explodes on impact. The explosion deals 229 Explosive damage at the point of impact and quickly decreasing amounts in a 1.75m radius.

It is mostly useful against structures but can also be used against vehicles. It can disable the subsystems of armored vehicles.

It does not stack in the player's inventory (1 per slot) except when wearing a Colonial Grenade Uniform (stacks of 2 per slot)

Its weight is reduced by 25% with a Colonial Grenade Uniform.

Usage

Throwing the grenade:

  1. Hold down RMB to aim. The grenade's trajectory becomes visible.
  2. Press LMB to throw it.
  3. LMB can be held like with other grenades but it doesn't affect the grenade. If held too long it drops and explodes at the player's feet.
  4. After the throw, if a grenade of the same type exists in the player's backpack, it is automatically equipped.

Mass Production Factory orders must have at least 3 crates.

Storage

It does not stack in structure or vehicle inventories (1 per slot). It can only be stored in the stockpile of Bases (32k max).
Crates of Mammon 91-b can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content. The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.

Tactics

  • Due to its short range it is recommended to use them with Smoke Grenades or suppressing fire from allies to get close to the targets. Better anti-structure options are available after a few days of War.
  • It is not advisable to use them to destroy very sturdy structure due to the sheer amount of grenades needed, using weapons that deal Demolition damage, like Havoc Charges and 250mm shells, is more advised.

Trivia

The Mammon 91-b Grenade appears to be based on the soviet RPG-43 grenade, a magnetic anti-tank grenade. However, unlike its real life counterpart, the Mammon 91-b is primarily used for damaging structures.
