The Mounted Fissura gd.I (simply known as a Fissura) is a Colonial large Mounted Grenade Launcher that can fire 4 grenades in quick succession when mounted.
Uses
Specifications
- As a Mounted Weapon, it must be deployed on a mounting point (Tripod, certain Half-Tracks, Gunboats) to be used. When mounted its mount receives a dedicated ammo slot that can hold 12 Tremola Grenade GPb-1, 4 PT-815 Smoke Grenade, and 4 Green Ash. Its firing arc is limited to 90 degrees and depends on the mount's direction.
- It can load 4 grenades and fire them very rapidly at a range of up to 31 meters (or more with elevation).
- It can only use Tremola Grenade GPb-1, Green Ash Grenade, and PT-815 Smoke Grenade.
- Being able to fire various grenade types it can be used as both anti-infantry and anti-structure.
- It is a Large Item carried on the shoulder.
Usage
- To mount it press
Bthen aim at the mount and pressLMB. - Press
Qto operate the gun (crouching might be required for low-height deployed tripods). - To reload, a grenade needs to be either in the mount's inventory or in the shooter's backpack (priority for backpack if both).
- Press
Fto switch grenade type. - To remove it from its mount, open up the mount's menu with
Eand click the "Detach Tripod Weapon" button
(located in the bottom right corner).

Storage
The Mounted Fissura gd.I does not stack in inventories (1 per slot).
It is a Large Item, a soldier can only carry one at a time on their shoulder.
It can be stored in Base stockpiles but also in Material Pallets, Rooster - Tumblebox Trailer, or Material Transfer Stations.
Mounted Fissura gd.I crates can be stored in the stockpile of a Storage Depot, Seaport, or Storage Ship. Crates can be submitted to any stockpile that accept Mounted Fissura gd.I to transfer their content into it.
Tactics
The Mounted Fissura gd.I is an interesting tripod weapon as it mostly used as a PvE tool, but is capable of limited amount of PvP with the ability to launch Gas Grenades. Despite this potential, it is more advantageous to only use tremolas in order to maximize your burst explosive damage.
Due to having a arcing firing arc, it is possible to set up the Mounted Fissura gd.I on the ground of a trench and out of line-of-sight of incoming enemy fire. This is especially useful when attacking bunker pieces with Anti-Tank Garrisons on it, as it retaliates against all tripod weapons, and will be unable to directly hit it. Despite this tactic, it is only effective if the structure is within firing range, and there is no better PvE weapons available, such as the KLG901-2 Lunaire F.
Trivia
- The in-game icon for the Mounted Fissura gd.I is unique compared to other tripod weapons. Unlike other tripod weapons, which are shown on their sides, the Mounted Fissura gd.I is pointed towards us, and the barrel facing in our direction.
