The Cascadier 873 is a Warden 3-round burst Pistol. It uses 8mm ammo.

Description

It is a Warden 8mm secondary weapon that fires in 3-round bursts. It has a relatively low damage per bullet (26-39 Light Kinetic), a very short range (12m effective, 18m max), fast fire rate (257 rounds/min, 85 bursts/min), light weight (25), and a 12-round magazine. It has a low recoil and adequate accuracy for short range. It also loses little stability from movement, allowing it to be fired accurately even on the move and without cover. The gun kills in 3 or 4 shots and a single burst will kill half the time if all 3 bullets land. Compared to the default pistol, it trades a bit of range for more firepower.

As a secondary weapon, it can be drawn and aimed quickly even when low on Stamina.

The Soldier Uniform reduces the gun's weight by 25%.

It does not stack in the player's inventory (1 per slot).

Mass Production Factory orders must have at least 3 crates.

Storage

It does not stack in structure or vehicle inventories (1 per slot).It can only be stored in the stockpile of Bases (32k max).
Crates of Cascadier 873 can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content.The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.

Tactics

It can be useful for any dedicated supporting class (Medics, snipers, Machine gunners and the like) who need a weapon for close combat, especially since 8mm ammo stacks in all uniforms.

Trivia

The Cascadier 873's seems to be based on an amalgamation of the Mauser C96 pistol and the Bergmann-Bayard pistol.
The word "Cascade" refers to a small waterfall, often one of a group. As a verb, the word means something that falls quickly and in large amounts.^[1] This is likely a reference to the gun's three round bursts.
The gun bares physical resemblance to the Ahti Model 2, with the description implying that they are related to each other in terms of development.
The "873" in the weapon's name seems to denote a year of introduction.
