This unique, heavy-duty submachine gun is not very useful on the run, but with careful aim and adequate cover, becomes a razorblade in the night.
In-game description

The No.1 “The Liar” Submachine Gun (simply known as a Liar) is a heavier Warden Submachine Gun. It is best used in defensive roles, as it is effective at short and medium ranges when stabilized.

Description

The No.1 “The Liar” Submachine Gun is a heavier SMG, which should be used differently compared to the Fiddler SMG. Although they do roughly the same damage, it is heavier, has a slower rate of fire, and loses accuracy while moving around (either by walking around, or simply turning).

Despite these Liar has a much lower recoil, slightly more range, and a slightly higher accuracy. If you take the time to aim the Liar can shoot long bursts with a tighter spread than any other SMG.

Tactics

Due to its characteristics, the No.1 “The Liar” Submachine Gun should not be used in a "Run & Gun" fashion, where the user runs from cover to cover and quickly shooting enemies. Instead, palyers should play defensively, either entrenched in a pillbox, or inside a trench, and take down enemies from a distance. always wait for the gun to stabilize, then slowly move toward the enemy and use cover.

Like other SMGs, it's more efficient at night.

The gun's higher stability and accuracy allows it to stay competitive at the higher end of its range. At rifle range (~28m) the Liar can still kill in 5 or 6 shots and a good stable position will ensure at least half of its bullets hit (something the Fiddler definitely cannot do). The Liar also doesn't lose accuracy when firing standing and in full cover. This means the Liar is less at a loss during the day and in open combat.

Trivia

  • The No.1 “The Liar” Submachine Gun appears to be based off a combination of the Finnish Suomi KP/-31 with a top magazine like that of the Italian Beretta M1918 submachine gun.
