The KLG901-2 Lunaire F (simply known as a Lunaire) is a Colonial Grenade Launcher that can launch various grenades over a long distance.

Use

Specifications

• Only one grenade can be loaded in the barrel at a time, which means reloading after each shot.
• Its maximum range is 31 meters.
• The grenades launched cannot be cooked, unlike when being thrown by hand, and always after detonate 4s.

It can only fire the following grenade types:

• Tremola Grenade GPb-1
• Smoke Grenade
• Gas Grenade

Usage

1. Equip the KLG901-2 Lunaire F in your inventory slot - press 1
2. If you have more than one type of grenade in your inventory press F to cycle through them
3. Press R (reload) to put a grenade in the grenade launcher
4. Press RMB to aim, and LMB to shoot

Storage

The KLG901-2 Lunaire F does not stack in inventories.

It can be stored in Base stockpiles.

KLG901-2 Lunaire F crates can be stored in the stockpile of a Storage Depot, Seaport, or Storage Ship. Crates can be submitted to any stockpile that accept KLG901-2 Lunaire Fs to transfer their content into it.

Tactics

The Lunaire's play style of launching grenades at a high rate of fire meshes really well with the Colonial's Grenade Uniform, especially when it comes to launching gas grenades. Due to the uniform stacking grenades, it is capable of carrying more grenades in its inventory compared to the standard uniform (8 grenades in the standard uniform vs 12 in the grenade uniform). Equip this uniform whenever possible when using this weapon.

Trivia

• Initially, the counterpart to the KLG901-2 Lunaire F was The Ospreay, which is a Grenade Launcher rifle attachment, however its role was changed in a later update, which gave it more of a multi-purpose role.
• In Update 1.52, the KLG901-2 Lunaire F was updated to accomodate the Tremola's increase in explosive damage, greatly increasing its damage output (when used in a PvE role). This was done to create a gameplay counterpart to the Warden Cutler Launcher 4, which is known to be used in a PvE role.
  • Along with this change, the price was drastically increased (in terms of Refined Materials) in order to match its counterpart.
