The KLG901-2 Lunaire F (simply known as a Lunaire) is a Colonial Grenade Launcher that can launch various grenades over a long distance.

Description

The KLG901-2 Lunaire F is a Colonial single-shot primary weapon that can fire Tremola Grenade GPb-1, PT-815 Smoke Grenade, and Green Ash Grenade over 31 meters at a rate of 21 grenades per minute. It is perfectly accurate and doesn't lose stability. The grenades launched cannot be cooked, they always detonate after 4s.

Each grenade type is suited for a particular role:

It does not stack in the player's inventory (1 per slot).

Usage

  1. Equip the KLG901-2 Lunaire F - press 1
  2. If you have more than one type of grenade in your inventory press F to cycle through them
  3. Press R to load a grenade into the grenade launcher
  4. Press RMB to aim, and LMB to shoot

Storage

It does not stack in structure or vehicle inventories (1 per slot).It can only be stored in the stockpile of Bases (32k max).
Crates of KLG901-2 Lunaire F can be directly submitted to any item stockpile that accepts that item to transfer their content.The crates can also be stored in the crate stockpiles of Storage Depots (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Seaports (1000 public, 100 per Reserve Stockpile), Shipping Containers (60), or Storage Ships (1000).
It can be transported by almost any vehicle with inventory slots. However it is much more efficient to transport it in bulk amounts as crates, either delivering them to a Base's stockpile with a Truck or to a crate stockpile with shipping vehicles carrying Shipping Containers.

Tactics

The Lunaire's play style of launching grenades at a high rate of fire meshes really well with the Colonial's Grenade Uniform, especially when it comes to launching gas grenades. It allows the player to carry 12 grenades instead of 8.

Trivia

  • Initially, the counterpart to the KLG901-2 Lunaire F was The Ospreay, which is a Grenade Launcher rifle attachment, however its role was changed in a later update, which gave it more of a multi-purpose role.
  • In Update 1.52, the KLG901-2 Lunaire F was updated to accomodate the Tremola's increase in explosive damage, greatly increasing its damage output (when used in a PvE role). This was done to create a gameplay counterpart to the Warden Cutler Launcher 4, which is known to be used in a PvE role.
    • Along with this change, the price was drastically increased (in terms of Refined Materials) in order to match its counterpart.
  • The Lunaire bears a strong resemblance to the Soviet RMN-50 prototype grenade launcher, although this was a modification of the Mosin-Nagant rifle, instead of a purpose-built grenade launcher. Like the Lunaire, it fired grenades that resembled miniature mortar rounds, instead of hand grenades.
