The Bomastone Grenade is the Colonial fragmentation Grenade.

Uses

Specifications

It is thrown by hand to a maximum range of 24 meters and has a 4 second fuse.

It deals 125 Shrapnel damage at the point of impact and decreasing amounts in a 6.5m radius.

It is a strictly anti-infantry grenade. It deals no damage to Structures and mediocre amounts to even unarmored Vehicles.

Infantry inside structures or vehicles can't be hurt by it.

The grenades do not stack in a soldier's inventory, unless one is wearing a Grenade Uniform (stacks of 2).

Usage

To throw the grenade:

1. Hold down RMB. The grenade's trajectory becomes visible.
2. Press LMB to throw it.

You can also hold LMB to cook it, making it explode earlier, therefore not giving the enemy time to react. But if you hold it too long, it can explode in your hand!

After the throw, if a grenade of the same type exists in the backpack, it will automatically be equipped.

Storage

Bomastone Grenade does not stack in inventories (1 per slot) except inthe inventory of a player wearing a Grenade Uniform (stacks of 2 per slot)

It can be stored in Base stockpiles.

Bomastone Grenade crates can be stored in the stockpile of a Storage Depot, Seaport, or Storage Ship. Crates can be submitted to any stockpile that accept Bomastone Grenade to transfer their content into it.

Trivia

• The design and icon of the Bomastone Grenade appear to be based off the German Stielhandgranate series of grenades.
• Prior to Update 1.52, when the Bomastone Grenade was equipped, it would use the same model as the A3 Harpa Fragmentation Grenade. This was changed so the player model now correctly holds a Bombastone Grenade when it is equipped and thrown.
