The Rifle Garrison is a player-built defensiveBunker modification (sits on top of the Bunker) that automatically fires at enemies with a rifle when garrisoned. It can be upgraded for better health and resistance.
“
An entrenched bunker manned by stationed troops armed with Rifles.
When its garrison is active (large flag on top), it automatically fires a 7.62mm rifle on any enemy vehicle, infantry, and structures within 26 meters (29m from its center) in a full 360 degree arc. The gun takes 3.5 seconds to reach its maximum fire rate (120 rounds/min) and accuracy. Similar to player vision, its detection range is reduced at night unless its bunker is powered. Getting shot by an enemy triggers its retaliation fire for 5.5 seconds, it locks on and fires at the shooter if it has a line of sight, bypassing its night vision limitation. Its retaliation range is only limited by its caliber, the 7.62mm bullets starts dealing less damage past 27 meters and no damage past 43 meters. If the shooter was in a vehicle/structure and dismounts the retalation fire keeps targeting their old seat in the vehicle/structure and not the shooter now on foot. If a Rifle Garrison is attached to other bunkers it will only retaliate if actual damage is dealt (e.g. not small arms) but will also retaliate if a connected bunker is damaged.
One friendly player can get inside it from the bunker interior underneath by pressing Q. While inside they cannot be injured by anything except Gas Grenades or heat. They can fire with their equipped weapon in any direction unless the garrison is suppressed. They instantly die if the bunker is destroyed.
Construction
A Tier 1 Rifle Garrison can be constructed by modifying a Tier 1 Bunker with the following requirements:
When its garrison is active (large flag on top), it automatically fires a 7.62mm rifle on any enemy vehicle, infantry, and structures within 26 meters (29m from its center) in a full 360 degree arc. Its garrison can be suppressed, but it's harder than at Tier 1.

Construction
A Tier 2 Rifle Garrison can be constructed by modifying a Tier 2 Bunker with the following requirements:
When its garrison is active (large flag on top), it automatically fires a 7.62mm rifle on any enemy vehicle, infantry, and structures within 26 meters (29m from its center) in a full 360 degree arc. The gun takes 3.5 seconds to reach its maximum fire rate (120 rounds/min) and accuracy. Similar to player vision, its detection range is reduced at night unless its bunker is powered. Its garrison can be suppressed, but it's harder than at Tier 2.

They can fire with their equipped weapon in any direction unless the garrison is suppressed. They instantly die if the bunker is destroyed.
Construction
A Tier 3 Rifle Garrison can be constructed by modifying a Tier 3 Bunker with the following requirements:
Connected to a Bunker Base through trenches or bunkers
Bunker Base must have unlocked the Infantry Garrisons and Concrete Structuresupgrades
An existing Tier 2 Rifle Garrison can also be upgraded to Tier 3 if it is connected (by trenches or bunkers) to a Bunker Base with the Concrete Structures upgrade. It's the cheaper method as you only spends Concrete Materials once overall.
As a concrete structure, the Tier 3 Rifle Garrison takes 24 hours to dry, during which it is more vulnerable the wetter it is.
The Tier 3 Rifle Garrison modification very slightly decreases the Structural Integrity of its bunker.
During placement its firing range is shown.
Power
If a Rifle Garrison is powered with 600W, the spotlight on top of it turns on and allows the garrison to keep its full range during the night. Powering a Rifle Garrison does NOT activate the AI! The direction of the spotlight doesn't matter, when enemies are in range the spotlight follows them.
