Built to compliment other free-standing artillery pieces, the emplaced Huber Starbreaker launches 94.5mm shells over very long distances. A necessary tool for infantry to knock back armoured Colonial advances.
In-game description

The Huber Starbreaker 94.5mm is a Warden Emplacement equipped with a large 94.5mm anti-tank cannon.

Crew

It has no AI and must be manned by a player with Q. It has one seat:

  • Cannoneer
    • Rotates the turret by aiming with RMB
    • Fires and reloads the cannon

It lacks a front shield meaning the crew is vulnerable to incoming fire.

Armament

It's armed with:

  • 94.5mm Cannon
    • Mounted on the emplacement (can rotate 360 degrees, turns 3° per second)
    • Ammo Used: 94.5mm
    • Range: 45 meters
    • Reload Duration: 3 seconds
    • Firing Duration: 1.5 seconds
    • Fire Rate: 13.33 per minute
    • High velocity barrel increases damage by 50% (2625 damage)

It has a dedicated ammo slot that can hold one 94.5mm shell (meaning you can only have one shell loaded in the barrel and one spare).

Interactions

It can be interacted with either on foot, or in a vehicle by pressing E. 94.5mm shells can be directly submitted into the artillery piece by pressing V. The enemy players cannot interact or use it.

Transportation

As an Emplacement it cannot move on its own, and must be packaged and lifted by Shippable#Cranes in order to be moved anywhere. It can be transported by shipping vehicles.

Placement

It can be placed pretty much anywhere on land, even on top of other structures. It can be placed within 60 meters of a region's border ("no build" zone), however it will still quickly decay there. The only notable place where it can't be placed is Bridges.

It can also be placed inside a Trench Emplacement. Doing so quadruples its health and doubles its rotation speed. However if the Trench Emplacement is destroyed, the Emplacement goes along with it.

Visibility

It is invisible at night, just like infantry. It can also be hidden by being placed inside large bushes, but is revealed to people within 10m. Only its firing effects (smoke and flashes from the barrel) will betray its presence. This only works if it's not packaged.

Tactics

It is recommended to emplace it inside at least a Tier 2 emplacement trench, to quadruple its health. It can also be hidden inside bushes or behind obstacles or gates.

As it holds a maximum of only two shots, it is helpful to have ammunition staged nearby in a storage bunker, storage box, or base. A nearby supply of basic materials for repairs is also recommended.

It is vulnerable to infantry assaults. Keeping enemy infantry away is vital to support the gun so it can focus on enemy armor.

Gunners should carry gas masks and filters so that they cannot be easily killed by gas grenades.
