Emplaced Weapon
Emplaced Weapons (also known as Emplacements) are player-manned shippable structures equipped with weapon platforms that can rotate 360 degrees and require ammunition to fire.
List of Emplaced Weapons
Production
Basic Emplaced Weapons can be manually constructed at a Construction Yard or be produced in crates of 3 at a Mass Production Factory.
Certain Emplaced Weapons can only be constructed at a Small Assembly Station with the correct upgrade. They are produced individually, and require various Facility Materials (either in small or large quantities).
Transportation
All Emplaced Weapons are small Shippables and thus can be packaged, lifted by cranes, and transported by all shipping vehicles (Flatbed Truck, Freighter, etc...).
Placement
They must be placed on the ground with a crane. They can be placed pretty much anywhere: on Beaches, on Roads, on rocks, on top of other structures. They can be placed in the "no build" zones within 60m of a region border. The only restriction is Bridges, they can't be placed on most (except on Long Bridges and at the top of the ramps on Two Tier Bridges).
When placed and unpackaged, they are affected by decay.
Trench Bonus
They can be placed inside a Trench Emplacement. While in it, their health is quadrupled and their rotation speed doubled.
Storage
Like all shippables, Emplaced Weapons can be submitted into a Storage Depot or Seaport but they can only be submitted to the public stockpile, not private reserve ones. Shippable Crates of emplaced weapons produced at a Mass Production Factory can be privately stored however.
Tips
- You cannot mount in or package enemy emplaced weapons. The only way to steal one is to pick it up with a crane while it's already packaged and to submit it to a Storage Depot or Seaport.
- They shouldn't be confused with Field Weapons which are pushed vehicles.
