The Storage Box is a player built structure used to store items.
Construction
It is built using a hammer and 25 Basic Materials. It must be built by hand, and cannot be built using a Construction Vehicle.
Destruction
Unlike most player-built structures, it is considered 'Neutral,' meaning it can be freely destroyed by any player, regardless of their faction. and won't count as Friendly Fire.
Use
Its interface can be accessed on foot by pressing E but not from a vehicle.
Storage
It has an inventory with 15 slots. Items stacks in the same way as in a Base's inventory: Ammo magazines, raw resources, Bandages, and various materials stack up to 100 per slot while everything else does not stack. Large Items can be submitted to it by pressing V or with the "Submit Large Item" 
button in its interface.
Since it is a Neutral structure, its inventory is accessible by both faction. It cannot be locked or claimed by a Squad.
Resistance
It is immune to small arms and fragmentation grenades, but not to 12.7mm machine gun fire or heavier explosives. It is instantly destroyed if run over by tanks, APCs or Half-Tracks.
Tactics
- Due to its ease of access, it is useful to have some near the frontline to quickly and safely store recovered or looted equipment, which can be transported back to a base at a later time.
- You can vault over Storage Boxes by pressing the
spacebar, which will get you on top of them - Placing Storage Boxes behind sandbag walls will allows vision over them, allowing players to shoot or spot from them
- Storage Boxes should not be overly built as it will contribute to msupp consumption
- Ideally, Storage Boxes should not be built when there is a Base's Stockpile nearby
Trivia
- Originally, the Storage Box had a different model, which was a blue box, with a grey outline around the box's edges. On the top, it had a large grey star
- The Storage Box, along with the Watchtower, were updated to their current models in Update 0.48
