Preplaced Railway Track

A Preplaced Railway Track is a neutral world structure onto which player-placed Railway Tracks can connect to help large Trains access strategic locations (e.g. Seaports) or cross unbuildable terrain.

It is invulnerable and does not suffer from decay.

It's visually slightly different from player Railway Tracks.

It appears as black lines on the map for both factions.

Some Preplaced Railway Tracks have a buffer stop at one end which prevents the connection of a Railway Track segment to it.
