Component Mine
This article is timeless and should be accurate for any version of the game.
“ | An old mine that automatically gathers Components using Fuel. | „ |
— In-game description |
The Component Mine is a World Resource Mine that automatically produces Components when given fuel (either Diesel or Petrol).
Interactions
The Component Mine can be interacted either by hand, in a Truck, or by placing a Resource Container on the invisible loading pad in the front. You can press E
or Shift + E
to open the interface, while the only way to interact with the invisible loading pad via a Crane.
Construction
All Component Mines start off destroyed when a new war starts, and can be rebuilt using a Construction Vehicle and Basic Materials. Unlike some world structures, it does not require tech to be reconstructed, meaning it can be quickly rebuilt after a region was captured from the enemy faction.
Component Production
Input(s) | Output(s) | Time (hh:mm:ss) |
---|---|---|
1L x Diesel | 9 x Components | 00:00:30 |
1L x Petrol | 27-30 x Components | 00:00:30 |
All World Resource Mines can hold up to 1,000 liters of each type of fuel (10 cans of Diesel and 20 cans of Petrol) and can be refuelled like a vehicle. A full tank will run the mine for 8 hours and 20 minutes.
A Component Mine fueled with Diesel will fill its stockpile in 4h38m and consume 556L of Diesel. One fueled with Petrol will fill its stockpile in about 1h27m and consume about 175L of Petrol.
Resource Collection
Components produced in the Component Mine can be retrieved either by hand, in a Truck, or from a Resource Container.
Unlike other world structures that have a visible loading area (such as a Refinery), there's an invisible loading area in front of the Component Mine that allows players to place Resource Containers and directly transfer resources into it. In order to use it, aim the crane's arm containing the container towards the front of the Mine until the icon under the Container has a gear symbol.
NOTE: If you exit out of the structure's menu, especially if the crane used to placed the Resource Container is outside of the Resource Mine's interaction area, you are unable to re-enter the menu. This requires the player to get out of the Crane, and manually repackage the Container. Be mindful of this so that you do not inconvenience yourself.
Tips
- Every time you collect resources from the Resource Mine, you should refuel it in order to get the most resources out of it
- You can check how much fuel and resources is in a Component Mine from the map by hovering your mouse cursor over the Component Mine's icon
- It does not show contents in Enemy or Neutral Territory
- Component Mines are one of two ways components can be obtained prior to Sledge Hammers being unlocked
- It's essential to construct them in the early war to maximize their production of Refined Materials, which are needed to build early combat Vehicles and Flatbed Trucks
- Stationary Harvesters are the other source for early Components, but they are more expensive, and only extract from the Component Field's internal node count, which respawns a lot slower compared to Coal or Salvage Fields
- Component Mines should always be stocked with Petrol to increase resource output, especially if there's a steady source of Petrol nearby (i.e. an Oil Field producing Public Petrol in the region)
Trivia
- All World Resource Mines used to produce much faster prior to Update 1.50 (officially known as 'Inferno'), with the Salvage Mine used to having its tick speed being every second
- they now produce resources at a slower rate, but this was compensated with Facilities being introduced, which made Petrol much easier to obtain
