This article is considered accurate for the current version (1.58) of the game.

Built to brave the hills of the western provinces of Alliant Union, the Taurine Rigger is a Velian modified variation that specializes in towing heavy equipment and supplies over treacherous terrain. Employed in the Colonial Legion for nearly three centuries, the A150 has become an indispensable tool in the Colonial operations. It's no surprise then that it has be often imitated, yet never replicated.
In-game description

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger is a Colonial Heavy-Duty Truck designed to be a powerful logistics vehicle, capable of moving cargo, equipment, and tow Field Weapons and Trailers with ease to various locations.

General Info

Crew

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger holds five passengers, and houses a crew of one soldier:

  • Driver (Seat 1)
    • Controls the movement of the vehicle, and can see the remaining fuel in the vehicle
    • Interacts with nearby structures - press E or Shift + E
    • Activates horn sound - press LMB
    • Can switch gears - press F
  • Passenger(s) (Seats 2 - 6)
    • Can't do anything

Armament

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger is not equipped with a main armament.

Inventory

It has 15 inventory slots that can hold any item. Depending on the item, it can stack up to 100, or does not stack.

Engine & Mobility

Gear Box:
The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger has two gears, High and Low. The driver can switch gear by pressing F and can see the gear currently in use next to their compass.

  • High gear gives a higher speed while on roads but suffers from bad acceleration at low speed (reversing, going up hills, towing a heavy load, moving after a complete stop, etc...).
  • Low gear gives a better speed while driving off-road and always has a good acceleration. It is recommended to use this gear while towing heavy loads. The vehicle's weight doesn't affect its speed while in Low gear.

Health & Armor

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger has 1150 HP and is disabled under 50% health. It has "Light Armor" resistance: it can soak small arms fire and shrapnel, and it is immune to Flamethrowers. It can soak 12.7mm machine gun fire but not for long. Heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry are an extremely dangerous threat to it.
It has subsystems that have a chance to be disabled by heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry if hit specifically: Tracks: 30%.
It has Tank Armor. With it, in best case scenario, penetrating projectiles only have a 75% chance of penetrating and doing damage. That chance goes up quickly if the armor is worn or if it is shot from up close, or on the side or rear from a direct angle, or with ammo that has penetration bonuses.
It takes 100 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer. Its health, subsystems, and Tank Armor can be instantly repaired at a Garage for 100 Basic Materials.

Interactions

  • The driver can interact with most structures and access their inventory and stockpile - press E or Shift + E
    • Pulls items from stockpiles twice as fast compared to on foot
    • Can pull three times the normal amount from stockpiles - press Shift + LMB
  • It can tow Trailers and Field Weapons.
    • Hitch and unhitch the towed vehicle via the Shift + E interaction menu (the two vehicles must be very close and you in between them).
    • The towed vehicle cannot cross any trench so the truck isn't able to cross trenches with a vehicle in tow.

Storage & Transport

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger can be stored in a Storage Depot, Seaport or Storage Ship.

Tactics

The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger, like all trucks, are a valuable part of Foxhole's logistical loop in terms of gathering resources and materials, transporting equipment, and delivering/storing them. As such, it is important to have them stored in a protected area, so inside a Seaport or Storage Depot. If you do not plan on storing them, then make sure it is behind defenses with AI, as parking them in front will block their line of sight, making them unable to shoot targets.

Due to Heavy-Duty Trucks having a gearbox, it is highly recommended to switch gears when going over different terrain, as it will improve your mobility, and prevent any unnecessary slowdowns. Despite this function, drivers should be careful to not accidentally drive off cliffs or into rivers, as the loss of the vehicle is more costly due to it requiring components to produce.

Frontline Delivery
Trucks are the only way to get a majority of Foxhole's equipment to the frontline, which comes in the form of crates. As such, they are a vital part of getting large amounts of equipment to a base in a quick and timely manner. They are also pretty fragile, and can quickly be disabled by any weaponry in a few shots. As such, it is very important that there is Map Intelligence covering the roads so any partisans can be preemptively spotted and dealt with by frontline forces.

In terms of what drivers need to carry on them when doing this, they should at the very least carry a rifle and two clips of ammo. This is to defend yourself from partisans and to increase your chances of surviving the encounter. While it is not necessary, you can also equip a Gas Mask and two Filters to protect yourself from Gas Grenades.

Trivia

  • The AU-A150 Taurine Rigger and the Cnute Cliffwrest are the first vehicles in the game to sport a Gearbox, which allows for greater mobility on different terrain.
  • Due to the AU-A150 Taurine Rigger having tank treads, compared to its Warden counterpart, it has better off-road speeds, but worse on-road top speed. It can also cross Trenches.
