One of Conor O’Brien’s best traits was his ability to modernize and make use of older technology in his designs. The V.190 Knave is the perfect example of this philosophy. Fitted with a modified, outdated twin-grenade launcher turret, the Knave is a surprising combination of speed and subterfuge that quickly routs the enemy, leaving them befuddled.

— In-game description
The O'Brien V.190 Knave (also known as a GAC or Grenade Launcher Armored Car) is a WardenArmored Car equipped with a Twin Grenade Launcher.
Fire Rate: 21 per minute (reloading after each shot); Salvo of 2 in 0.75 seconds
Magazine Size: 2
Inventory
It has 4 dedicated ammo slots that can hold in total 20 Tremola Grenade GPb-1, 10 PT-815 Smoke Grenade, 10 Green Ash, and 20 A3 Harpa Fragmentation Grenade.
The O'Brien V.190 Knave has 1250 HP and is disabled under 30% health. It has "Light Armor" resistance: it can soak small arms fire and shrapnel, and it is immune to Flamethrowers. It can soak 12.7mm machine gun fire but not for long. Heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry are an extremely dangerous threat to it. It has Tank Armor. With it, in best case scenario, penetrating projectiles only have a 75% chance of penetrating and doing damage. That chance goes up quickly if the armor is worn or if it is shot from up close, or on the side or rear from a direct angle, or with ammo that has penetration bonuses. It takes 110 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer. Its health and Tank Armor can be instantly repaired at a Garage for 100 Basic Materials.
With its specs the Knave is designed to support friendly infantry. It attacks enemy infantry in strong positions with Harpa grenades and Gas grenades and destroys enemy structures with Tremola grenade. A friendly infantry escort is always necessary as the Knave cannot effectively defend itself, since its grenades cannot be cooked and do not explode on impact.
With its poor off-road mobility and relative short range, it's used more effectively on roads. Since the launcher is mounted at the rear, you can gain a little more range and be able to retreat quicker by using the vehicle backwards: drive in reverse and rotate the turret towards the rear.
Compared to the other Warden Armored Car chassis, the Knave can take a bit more punishment. For example it takes one more Anti-Tank Sticky Bomb or 30mm to disable or kill it, and one Anti-Tank Mine isn't enough to disable it.
It is the Warden's first anti-structure vehicle during the early-game.
AC Effectiveness over the course of the war
Similar to all armored cars, as soon as heavier and longer ranged anti-armor weapons become more common, such as anti-tank rifles, the Knave quickly becomes obsolete on the front line, as it will disabled and destroyed too quickly for the crew to react in most cases. However, due to its armament, it can be a formidable support vehicle when operated by a competent crew.
Standard Equipment Loadout
Like with every other armored vehicle, the crew should ALWAYS equip themselves with a Gas Mask and multiple Filters to avoid dying to Gas Grenades. Additionally, they should bring a Hammer and Basic Materials to repair the vehicle. These tactics can be buffed by wearing either a Tank Uniform or an Engineer Uniform.
Trivia
The O'Brien V.190 Knave is the first vehicle introduced that became a base chassis for an existing variant.
Originally, the O'Brien V.101 Freeman was created by modifying a O'Brien V.110. This was changed in Update 1.51, with the O'Brien V.190 Knave becoming a base chassis (replacing the O'Brien V.110).
