Versioning

This article is considered accurate for the current version (1.58) of the game.

The Juggernaut is a heavily armoured Flood variant fitted with a heavy flamethrower turret that fires an advanced adhesive propellant. Its shovel-like treads may hinder top speeds, but this beast is quite capable in extreme weather conditions.
In-game description

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII (simply known as a Juggernaut) is a Warden Battle Tank which has heavier armor, and reinforced treads (allowins for better traverse during Snow Storms. It is equipped with a 75mm main cannon and a hull-mounted heavy flamethrower. Its defined by its hull-mounted Heavy Flamethrower, which has a longer barrel, and a cone-shaped nozzle.

General Info

Crew

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII houses a crew of five soldiers:

  • Driver (Seat 1)
    • Controls the movement of the vehicle, and can see the remaining fuel in the tank
  • Cannoneer (Gunner) (Seat 2)
    • Controls the movement and firing of the 75mm main cannon. Cannot reload the cannon from this seat
  • Secondary Gunner (Seat 3)
    • Controls the movement and firing of the hull-mounted heavy flamethrower
  • Commander (Seat 4)
    • Capable of directing the tank crew, as well as giving them a better overview of the battlefield
    • Can open up the cupola (hatch) by pressing E, which allows the player to use their secondary, such as a binocular
  • Engineer (Seat 5)
    • Reloads the main cannon by pressing R
    • Can repair the vehicle from the inside using E, each repair action takes 3 seconds and consumes 3 Basic Materials from the player's inventory
    • Capable of seeing the health of the Tank, as well as how many shells remaining inside the inventory

Armament

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII is equipped with two main armaments:

  • 75mm Cannon
    • Mounted on a turret (can rotate 360 degrees, turns 16° per second)
    • Ammo Used: 75mm
    • Range: 35 meters
    • Reload Duration: 6 seconds
    • Fire Rate: 10 rounds per minute
  • Heavy Flamethrower
    • Mounted on the small front turret (100 degree firing arc, turns 60° per second)
    • Ammo Used: Flame Ammo
    • Range: 18 meters
    • Reload Duration: 5.5 seconds
    • Fire Rate: 300 rounds per minute
    • Magazine Size: 150 rounds
    • Burning power equivalent to 10 infantry Flamethrowers or 3 vehicle-mounted non-heavy flamethrowers

Inventory

It has 2 dedicated ammo slots, which hold 15 75mm shells and 10 Flame Ammo.

Health & Armor

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII has 5100 HP and is disabled under 30% health. It has "Heavy Armor" resistance: it can soak small arms fire, shrapnel, and 12.7mm machine guns, and it is immune to Flamethrowers. But heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry are a real threat to it.
It has subsystems that have a chance to be disabled by heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry if hit specifically: Tracks: 20% (Anti-Tank Mines always disable them), Fuel Tank: 25%, Turret/Cannon: 15%.
It has Tank Armor. With it, in best case scenario, penetrating projectiles only have a 23% chance of penetrating and doing damage. That chance goes up quickly if the armor is worn or if it is shot from up close, or on the side or rear from a direct angle, or with ammo that has penetration bonuses.
It takes 220 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer. Its health, subsystems, and Tank Armor can be instantly repaired at a Garage for 100 Basic Materials.

The Flood Mk. I must be fully researched in the Vehicle IconFilterVehicle.png Tech Tree in order to be produced.

Storage & Transport

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII cannot be stored in a Storage Depot, Seaport or Storage Ship.

It can be packaged into a large Shippable and transported only by certain Shipping Vehicles (Barge, Freighter, Storage Ship, Flatbed Car, or Large Crane).

Tactics

The Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII is capable of engaging infantry and heavily armored vehicles with its armament. However, unlike Colonial Battle Tanks, it relies more on its armor, rather than its health to protect itself in combat. If combat gets too intense, it is able to retreat from the battlefield in order to repair. Due to the Battle Tank's production cost, it's recommended to run this tank with a full crew, and with support from infantry and other armored vehicles. Due to its low capacity for shells, it is not recommended to use the main cannon against infantry unless absolutely necessary.

Due to the relative cost of the fuel, special care must be taken to ensure it does not run out of fuel and get stranded.

Due to the expensive cost of the vehicle, it is recommended to have a Commander, or adequate protection from other tanks and infantry so it is protected at all times.

Unlike the Flood Mk. I, engaging infantry in trenches is easier due to cover being negated by the heavy flamethrower, and the impact creating a small splash. However, its heavily limited range leaves the Mk. VII significantly more vulnerable to infantry with anti-tank weapons than the Mk. I.

6 seconds of continuous firing with the flamethrower on any Tier 2 structure creates a self-sustaining medium-intensity fire on it. Shooting more than 2.5 magazines in one go at the same target structure is pointless as its fire cannot grow bigger.

Standard Equipment Loadout
Like with every other armored vehicle, the crew should ALWAYS equip themselves with a Gas Mask and multiple Filters to avoid dying to Gas Grenades. Additionally, they should bring a Hammer and Basic Materials to repair the tank. These tactics can be buffed by wearing either a Tank Uniform or an Engineer Uniform.

Tips

  • Like all vehicles that use large shells, they can be quickly submitted into them without accessing their inventory
    • While this can be done for all vehicles, it should only be done if they can carry/use large items
  1. Equip the shell and walk up to the vehicle
  2. Submit the shell into the vehicle - press V
  • Battle Tanks are automatically deleted if left unused in the world for a week.

Trivia

  • Prior to its reintroduction into the game in Update 1.51, the Flood Juggernaut Mk. VII was equipped with a 12.7mm heavy machine gun
    • When it was reintroduced into the game, the 12.7mm heavy machine gun was replaced with a heavy flamethrower
  • In Update 0.40, all Battle Tanks were removed from the game for game balance concerns
    • Along with other Battle Tanks, its reintroduction to the game drastically changed how Battle Tanks are produced and used, as well as how much can be produced over time, by drastically increasing the materials/facilities needed to construct it, increasing their construction time, and the fuel needed to drive it. The shortest construction time for Battle Tanks is 18 hours, with some Battle Tank variants requiring longer times. This is not include the continuous power required to do so
