The Drummond Loscann 55c (also known as an ALUV or Duck Car) is a Warden Light Utility Vehicle capable of amphibious travel.

General Info

Crew

The Drummond Loscann 55c holds three passengers, and houses a crew of one soldier:

• Driver (Seat 1)
  • Controls the movement of the vehicle, and can see the remaining fuel in the vehicle
  • Interacts with nearby structures - press E or Shift + E
  • Activates horn sound - press LMB
• Passenger (Seats 2 - 4)
  • The backseat passengers can use their Binoculars

Health & Armor

The Drummond Loscann 55c has 900 HP and is disabled under 40% health. It has "Unarmoured" resistance, even small arms fire and Flamethrowers are a danger to it.
It takes 120 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer. Its health can be instantly repaired at a Garage for 100 Basic Materials.

Interactions

• Can interact with most structures in proximity - press E or Shift + E
  • Can pull three times the normal amount from stockpiles - press Shift + LMB
• Unlike other Light Utility Vehicles, it does not gather or transmit Map Intelligence around itself.

Storage & Transport

The Drummond Loscann 55c can be stored in a Storage Depot, Seaport or Storage Ship.

It can be packaged into a medium Shippable and transported by any Shipping Vehicle (Crane, Flatbed Truck, Barge, Freighter, Storage Ship, Landing Ships, Flatbed Car, or Large Crane).

Tactics

The Drummond Loscann 55c can be a good method of ferrying teammates across rivers. Combined with the medium sized inventory, it can also be used for resupplying cut-off positions across rivers or short stretches of sea.

Unlike other LUVs, the Loscann can drive on water. Care should be taken however, as when in the water the fuel consumption increases drastically, while the speed also decreases massively. For this reason it is recommended not to take the vehicle into the open sea, and either keep it near the shore or use it to cross rivers. It's small enough to pass under closed drawbridges.

Trivia

• The Drummond Loscann 55c is likely inspired by the Ford GPA, or "Sea Jeep".
• The Drummond Loscann 55c is currently the only LUV with amphibious capabilities. The only other amphibious vehicle currently in the game that can do this are Landing APCs.
