General Info

Crew

The Lance-40 "Halberd" houses a crew of five soldiers:

  • Driver
    • Controls the movement of the vehicle, and can see the remaining fuel in the tank
  • Cannoneer (Gunner)
    • Controls the movement and firing of the 75mm main cannon. Cannot reload the cannon from this seat
  • Secondary Gunner
    • Controls the movement and firing of the hull-mounted secondary weapon
  • Commander
    • Capable of directing the tank crew, as well as giving them a better overview of the battlefield
    • Can open up the cupola (hatch) by pressing E, which allows the player to use their secondary, such as a binocular
  • Engineer
    • Reloads the main cannon by pressing R, and can repair the vehicle from the inside by pressing E (with Basic Materials in the player's inventory)
    • Capable of seeing the health of the Tank, as well as how many shells remaining inside the inventory

Due to the expensive cost of the vehicle, it is recommended to have a Commander, or adequate protection from other tanks and infantry so it is protected at all times.

Trivia

  • Battle Tanks had a tenuous development history in Foxhole. They were initially added in Update 0.20 but were later removed in Update 0.40 for balancing. They were reintroduced in Update 1.50 with nearly all aspects receiving a major overhaul, with the exception being crew roles
  • Currently, it is unsure whether or not the Lance-40 "Halberd" will make it back into the game, and if it does, how it will be changed in order to fit the current game
    • It is a safe assumption the Lance-40 "Halberd" will follow the same logistical challenges as the other Battle Tanks if it's reintroduced
