The Deadly Soulstone is a Dead Harvest item which is used to turn the player into an Avartach, a type of Zombie able to spit acid as a secondary attack. Avartachs are faster and have more health than a regular cursed. This speed and health increases even more at night, where their spit attack also gains even more damage, allowing it to kill infantry with ease.
The Deadly Soulstone can be used in two ways. The first way is active, and requires the player to equip the stone in their 3rd slot, before selecting that slot and using it. This will immediately transform the player into a Cursed, no matter where they are. It will also reset their health to full. The second way is to have the Deadly Soulstone in their inventory when they die, which will turn them into a Cursed upon death. This will also reset the player's health to full.
