In-game propaganda

OP Heroluka0077

Throughout the history of foxholes Lore there's been much discussion regarding the authenticity of a variety of in-game sources. It's undeniable that in the foxhole universe there is propaganda, and it's reasonable to assume some of what we are provided is intended to be propagandistic. Naturally this has led to a degree of distrust regarding the information distributed by certain sources. For instance; Inter-Haven, which is formatted as Colonial wartime propaganda, describes Thea as having offered a peace deal to the Wardens following her capture of Sunhaven, which the Wardens are described as having rejected outright. Due to its source, the initial revision of this article excluded this information, An correctly deferred to other citations where possible concerning anything originating from inter-Haven. The argument being that Inter-haven isn't trustworthy enough to be used as a source.

But we as a community are not privileged to pick and choose what we believe is or isn't factual regarding the little lore we are given.

Most events described in game, are described exactly once from one perspective only. Unless information is contested by separate sources, we shouldn't be picking and choosing what events we consider correct, Nor should we tell our readers to discredit the information we provide on the basis of its citation. We can certainly allude to which party presented the notion assuming such information is contextually relevant IE: "Colonial sources laud Thea-Maro as a successful tactician" *Cite Source with bias*, But unless there is actual evidence to contest what is presented, there is no reason to preclude it from being incorporated into the wiki. Edit: The truce offering has since been incorporated into the article.
