Stationary Harvester (Scrap)
This article is timeless and should be accurate for any version of the game.

— In-game description |
The Stationary Harvester (Scrap) is a player built structure that automatically extracts Salvage from Salvage Fields using Petrol.
Construction
It is built using a Construction Vehicle and Construction Materials. It can only be built next to a Salvage Field (up to 3 per field).
Interactions
- You can access its interface when on foot or in a logistics vehicle by pressing
E
. - Its internal liquid tanks can be refuelled.
- The original builder can instantly demolish it if it was built less than 28 days ago (materials refunded).
- It can be reserved for a Squad to prevent non-members from modifying it (however the stockpile access is not restricted).
- It is immune to Friendly Fire but it can be flagged for "Disruptive Structure Placement" to remove the immunity (5 "votes" needed).
- You can view the Action Logs to check the modifications done to it.
Production
Unlike the Salvage Mine, the Stationary Harvester (Scrap) produces Salvage by extracting it from the Salvage Field's reserve node count. The nodes spawned on the field cannot be collected by this harvester. Unlike manual mining, the Stationary Harvester does not spawn Tech Materials (Iron, Aluminum, Copper).
Compared to the Salvage Mine, it performs poorly. for the same amount of Petrol, you get around 120 (30/Liter) Salvage in the Mine. It is, however, a bit faster (50/12 s) compared to Mine on Petrol (30/8 s)
Input(s) | Output(s) | Time (hh:mm:ss) |
---|---|---|
4L x Petrol | 50 x Salvage | 00:00:12 |
Its stockpile can hold up to 2500 salvage, with production automatically halting when that limit is reached. Since the harvester produces 250 salvage per minute, the limit is reached after just 10 minutes of production.
The structure's internal Petrol tank can hold 1000L (20 Petrol Cans) and can be refueled. A full tank will last 50 minutes of continuous production.
Tips
- Despite it automatically harvesting from the Salvage Field's internal node count, it does not diminish the rate at which Technology Materials drop for a faction
- Players can use the Stationary Harvesters without worrying about hindering their faction in advancing the tech
- When looking at it from the map, the contents of the Stationary Harvester(s) will be displaced under the Salvage Field's node count
