Mounted Equipments are a class of large utility items that must be mounted on a Deployed Tripod in order to be used. Unlike Mounted Weapons they cannot be mounted on any vehicle.
Use
Deploying
A Tripod must first be deployed one on the ground. Pick up a tripod then press 
to get in placement mode, hold 
to rotate and press 
to place it.
Pick up the equipment and press to get in placement mode, aim at the tripod and press .
Undeploying
To uninstall the equipment and its tripod, press 
to open the mount's menu and click the Pack Up 
button at the bottom. Once uninstalled the tripod and equipment drop to the ground. Pressing 
to pick them up.
Like all Large Items, you can press 
+ to drop them on the ground and to submit it to a structure's inventory or stockpile.
