Logs
In Foxhole various events and actions leave a semi-permanent record that can be later viewed by inspecting the logs for the entity associated with said event. These logs are mostly used in practice as a conflict resolution tool, helping build an accurate timeline of events and people involved.
All of the events that reference a player can be right-clicked File:Mouse Right.svg to see the regiment of the player involved and the context menu for said player.
There are several different kinds of logs.
Global Event Log
The Global Event Log contains the events compiled across all Regions of faction-wide importance. It is accessible on the Player Screen via
then clicking the View Global Event Log
button at the bottom. All logged entries include the time since it occured.
The following events are recorded:
| Action | Message |
|---|---|
| Friendly vehicles captured by an enemy (enter driver seat to switch its faction) | [RegionName][PlayerName] [Quantity] vehicle(s) captured by the enemies |
It only shows the last 640 events (40 pages of 16 events). If a new event is identical to the last one and occured less than a minute after it then they are combined and the time of the last entry is updated.
This log is intended to be used to identify players that deliberately give friendly vehicles to the enemy. Not all vehicle captures seem to be logged(?) and it is unclear what the criterion for inclusion is.
Region Event Log
The Region Event Log lists events that occured in the player's current Region. For each event it includes time since it occured and Map grid coordinates of the event's location. on the Player Screen via
then clicking the View Region Event Log
button at the bottom.
The following events are recorded:
| Action | Message |
|---|---|
| Friendly vehicles captured by an enemy (enter driver seat to switch its faction) | [PlayerName] [Quantity] vehicle(s) captured by the enemies |
| Damage dealt to friendly vehicles or structures | [PlayerName] [Quantity] damage to friendly vehicles/structures |
| Damage dealt to friendly players | [PlayerName] [Quantity] damage to friendly players |
| Demolition of friendly structure or Build Site with the "Demolish" button |
[PlayerName] Demolished [Quantity]x [StructureType] |
| Flagging a friendly structure for disruptive placement | [PlayerName] Flagged [Quantity]x [StructureType] for disruptive placement |
| Destruction of important friendly structures* | [PlayerName] Destroyed [Quantity]x [StructureType] |
| Automated restoration of lost vehicles by the game | Restored [Quantity]x Vehicle(s) and their contents to local inventories |
* Town Base, Relic Base, Keep, Safe House, Dry Dock, Large Assembly Station, Field Modification Center, Storm Cannon, Intelligence Center Weather Station, A0E-9 Rocket Platform, A0E-9 Rocket
It only shows the last 640 events (40 pages of 16 events). If a new event is identical to the last one and occured less than a minute after it then they are combined and the time of the last entry is updated.
Stockpile Log
The Stockpile Log shows a record of all things that are submitted, retrieved, or restored to the stockpile. Stockpiles at Seaport, Storage Depot, and Storage Ship have additional tabs: one for vehicles and vehicle vehicle crates, and one for structures and structure crates. The only event not logged is starter kit submission at Bases.
The log is accessible in the interface of any vehicle or structure with a stockpile by clicking the View Stockpile Actions Log
button at the bottom.
Each logged event specifies the player responsible (if any) and the amount and type of thing involved. Events have no timestamp but they are listed in chronological order with the most recent at the top. The log only lists the last 50 events for item and item crates, and only the last 20 for vehicles and structures tabs. If a new event has the same player and type than the last recorded event it is combined with it rather than create a new entry regardless of the time between the two events.
Reserve Stockpile Log
The Reserve Stockpile Log log shows a record of events that happened to the currently selected Reserve Stockpile.
The log is accessible in the interface of any Seaport or Storage Depot by clicking the View Reserve Stockpile Actions Log
button at the bottom. A Reserve Stockpile's log can be viewed by anyone who can see it even if they don't have access to the stockpile.
All logged entries include the name of any player involved and the time since it occured.
Events that are logged:
- Stockpile creation
- Stockpile access gained
- Revoked all access
- Submission and Retrieval of items, item crates, vehicles, vehicle crates, structures, and structure crates (Positive numbers means submission, negative ones means retrieval)
- Transfer of content to another Stockpile (positive amounts mean transfer to the current stockpile, negative ones mean transfer from it)
Stockpile visibility changes are notably not logged.
Unlike Stockpile Log, the Reserve Stockpile Log does not have separate tabs for items, vehicles, and structure submission/retrieval. If a new submission/retrieval event has the same player and type than the last event it is combined with it rather than create a new entry. Reserve Stockpile logs only list the last 80 events (5 pages of 16 events).
Structure Event Log
The Structure Event Log shows a record of events that happened to the structure in chronological order. All entries include the time since the event occured. It is accessible in the interface of nearly all player-built structures and Build Sites by clicking the View Actions Log
button at the bottom. The Observation Tower and Hospital are the only world structures with that kind of log.
The following events are recorded:

Vehicle Event Log
The Vehicle Event Log shows a record of events that happened to the vehicle in chronological order. All entries include the time since the event occured. It is accessible in the interface of vehicles by clicking the View Actions Log
button at the bottom.
The title of the log window has a unique vehicle ID for the current vehicle. While the ID is both unique and persistent, it is not preserved if the vehicle is submitted to a stockpile then retrieved since stockpiling a vehicle destroys it and retrieving it creates a new vehicle.
The following events are recorded:

The log only lists the last 80 events (5 pages of 16 events). If a new event is identical to the last one and occured less than a minute after it then they are combined and the time of the last entry is updated.
The log is reset if the vehicle is packaged on a vehicle that travels to another region.
