This article is considered accurate for the current version (1.61) of Foxhole.
This unique train car has been specially fitted with medical equipment and a mounted machine gun, making it ideal for transporting injured soldiers away from active battlefields to the safety of hospitals. When stationary, the BMS Bloodtender may also be used as a mobile first aid centre to treat wounded soldiers so long as supplies remain plentiful.

General Info

  • Gunner (Seat 1)

Armament

The BMS Bloodtender is equipped with:

  • 12.7mm Machine Gun
    • Mounted on the front turret (can rotate 210 degrees), turns 45° per second)

    • Effective Range: 35 meters
    • Maximum Range: 40 meters
    • Reload Duration: 3.5 seconds
    • Fire Rate: 240 rounds per minute
    • Magazine Size: 75 rounds
    • Accuracy: very high
    • Stability: Can fire nonstop without losing accuracy

Inventory

It has 19 inventory slots and one dedicated ammo slot that can hold 40 12.7mm magazines. It also has a stockpile that can hold medical equipments and Medic Uniforms.

Engine & Mobility

  • Uses no fuel
  • Can only move on Railway Tracks, must be placed on tracks with a crane
  • Cannot move on its own, requires a Locomotive connected to it to be moved
  • Can ram and destroy any structures (such as Deployed Tripods) in its path
  • Instantly destroys any unarmored vehicle in its path if there are no friendly soldiers inside of them
  • Does not trigger Anti-Tank Mines

Health & Armor

The BMS Bloodtender has 4250 HP. It has "Heavy Armor" resistance: it can soak small arms fire, shrapnel, and 12.7mm machine guns, and it is immune to Flamethrowers. But heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry are a real threat to it.
It has Tank Armor. With it, in best case scenario, penetrating projectiles only have a 33% chance of penetrating and doing damage. That chance goes up quickly if the armor is worn or if it is shot from up close, or on the side or rear from a direct angle,or with ammo that has penetration bonuses.
It takes 250 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer.

Interactions

  • Couple two cars together - hold Shift + E and press Couple Cars (they must be touching/close together)
  • Decouple two connected cars - requires a Wrench used in the area between the two cars
  • Deploying/Undeploying the vehicle - press E when next to the sides near the front of the car
    • The First Aid Car must be on rail and decoupled from other cars to be deployed
    • Required to operate the hospital
    • Immobilizes the car

A train can have up to 15 cars connected, Locomotive(s) included.

Its interface can be accessed by pressing E when on foot or driving a logistics vehicle.

Hospital:
Despite its name, it does NOT offer any way to heal a player's injuries.

Critically Wounded Soldiers can be transfered into its inventory on foot by pressing V or by clicking the "Submit Large Item" BtSubmitLargeItem.png button in the vehicle's menu.

Critically Wounded Soldiers in the inventory can be submitted into one of the 35 alloted beds of the Hospital section with the "Submit Patient" BtSubmitPatient.png button for them to recover. Each patient recovers independently and recovery takes 10 minutes. The recovery of the latest patient can be canceled and the Critically Wounded Soldier put back in the inventory by pressing the "Retrieve Patient" BtRetrievePatient.png button. This only works if at least one patient is not fully recovered.

A Recovered Patient can be converted into 10 Soldier Supplies by clicking the "Retrieve Supplies" BtRetrieveSoldierSupply.png button once. The supplies appear in the vehicle's inventory.

Each Recovered Patient kept in bed counts as 10 "Respawn Supplies" for respawning purposes. It holds 350 respawns when all beds are used.

Medical Base:

When deployed, it can serve as a Medical Base where player can set their "medical" spawn by clicking the Assign Spawn Point BtSetSpawn.png button so that they can respawn there after death if the Hospital has Respawn Supplies left.
