Able to deposit the car's stockpile contents (not inventory) into a nearby stockpile - pressLMB
Unable to accurately deposit their contents into a specific stockpile
Players can enter from left or right side of car but only exit from the side with the small platform. Special care must be taken when entering as it may not be possible to leave due to obstruction.
Armament
The BMS Railtruck is not equipped with a main armament.
The BMS Linerunner has 900 HP. It has "Light Armor" resistance: it can soak small arms fire and shrapnel, and it is immune to Flamethrowers. It can soak 12.7mm machine gun fire but not for long. Heavy explosives and anti-tank weaponry are an extremely dangerous threat to it. It takes 100 Basic Materials to fully repair it from 1% to 100% health with a Hammer.
Interactions
Couple two cars together - hold Shift + E and press Couple Cars (they must be touching/close together)
Decouple two connected cars - requires a Wrench used in the area between the two cars
Can have its stockpile contents (not inventory) directly submitted into a nearby stockpile by the Operator
Stockpile content can also be submitted into an unfinished structure blueprint that require that type of materials
To successfully submit, the target must be on either side of the Small Flatbed Car and less than 3 meters away. If multiple targets exist only the closest one is checked.
Able to directly submit/extract large items in the stockpile - pressVwhen next to it
Its stockpile can be accessed by a small train locomotive when interacting with structures/stockpiles
A small train can have up to 5 cars connected, Small Locomotive(s) included.
The BMS Linerunner should only be used in logistical tasks, where the transportation and collection of large quantities of items, materials, and resources are required. Additionally, these types of vehicles should be only be used in backlines and midline regions, and as far away from frontline combat.
Due to its means of transportation, it is very limited to where it can move, especially since small gauge railway tracks cannot move between hexes. It is highly recommended to keep their movements limited and in small, manageable areas.
It is an essential part of the facility gameplay loop if the facility is transporting massive quantities of large materials, as this is the only train car that can do so. This is especially useful for facilities that produce various Construction Materials, large items like artillery shells, or Assembly Materials.
It's one of the few vehicles not to appear as triangles on Map Intelligence.
Trivia
The BMS Linerunner is the first vehicle in the game that has a dynamic stockpile, which changes how much items the vehicle can hold based on the item being stored
The Operator's ability to submit materials into stockpiles also applies to blueprints, meaning large facilities can be constructed very easily if its near a small gauge railway track
Despite the BMS Linerunner primarily holding large items, it cannot hold:
